King George Royal Public School offers a wide range of subjects which provides them a solid academic foundation that will enable them to achieve their own individual goals. The school aims to blend the best of its tradition with a progressive approach. It places a high value on studies by providing the students with quality education by combining excellence with innovation in the teaching methods.
In order for the motivation to the students for excelling in their examinations, the School provides a Scholarship to the students of Board Classes who score more than 85% in Board Examinations. This scholarship is provided to the students in the form of Free Education after the declaration of their results. School has the authority to withdraw the Free Education, if the student is irregular or careless in his/her studies or abstains from house tests or is unable to attain the same percentage in Unit Tests/Terminal Examinations.
School is especially proud of Dixit Verma, Ashish Sharma, Gaurav Verma, Prateek Sharma, Manoj Thakur and Haripriya Rana of 10th class of session 2005 - 06 who were placed at 50th, 52nd, 79th, 86th, 87th positions respectively among all the students appeared in Himachal Pradesh. Neetika Narang of 10th class of session 2006 - 07 was placed at 101 position in Himachal Pradesh. All these students were awarded a Merit Certificate from H.P.Board of School Education, Dharamshala and a scholarship of Rs. 10000/- was given by Directorate of Education, Shimla. Moreover the above mentioned students also received Free Education from the school. Till 2010, more than 53 students have obtained a scholarship of 10000/- from Directorate of Education, Shimla.
Miss Kanika Singh Thakur of 10th class (Session 2007 - 08) brought glory to the school by getting 7th Position in Himachal Pradeshin Matriculation Examination, 5th Position in 11th class (Session 2008 - 09) examination and 8th Position in12th Class (Session 2009 - 10) conducted by H.P.Board of School Education, Dharamshala. In the same session Miss Kritika Singh and Miss Pinki Saini were also placed at 15th Position and 23rd Position in H.P.Board of School Education in class 11th respectively. Pinki Sainiagain brought the pride to school as well as to her parents by obtaining 17th position in 12th class in Himachal in 2010. In March 2010, in Matriculation Examinations Miss Kalyani Sharma (53rd), Mayank Mahajan (54th), Gaurav Thakur (54th), Nitish Kumar (54th), Mridul Verma (60th), Anjali Chaudhary (71st), Aarti (79th), Priti Sharma (82nd), Devender Kumar (89th), Suraj Saini (96th), Kailash Rahi (106th), Ritika Sen (107th), Neha Rana (117th), Anchal Kumari (118th), Pritika Yadav (129th), Mohit Kumar (131st) and Ashima Sharma (133rd) scored the above mentioned positions respectively and brought a glory to their parents as well as to school.
In the session 2010 - 11, 21 students of 10th class were awarded the merit certificates from H.P.Board of School Education, Dharamshala on the basis of their performance in the Matriculation Examination in session 2010 - 11. Their names are: Miss Jyoti Kumari (60th), Rajender Kumar (61st), Aditi Guleria (62nd), Aakanksha Thakur (68th), Kevalkant (77th), Sahil Gupta (81st) Chanchal Chaudhary (89th), Piyush Thakur (91st), Kashmir Singh (91st), Vijay Singh (92nd), Hitesh Kumar (94th), Vikrant Chaudhary (96th), Shubham Thakur (97th), Neha Saini (112th), Rajan Kumar (119th), Sumeet Kumar (128th), Parul Raj (128th), Anil Kumar Guleria (128th), Preeti Devi (132nd), Ankit Sharma (138th) and Ashish Kumar (146th). Whereas Pankaj Sharma, Priyanka Kumari and Neelam Saini of 12th class, bagged 35th, 38th and 41st Position in all over Himachal Pradesh.
In March 2012, in Matriculation Examinations 21 students of our school were awarded a Merit Certificate from H.P.Board of School Education, Dharamshala. Simlarly in 12th class board examinations, 20 students namely Manisha Chaudhary (30th), Akshat (37th), Kalyani (40th), Shiwangi Sharma (44th), Abhishek Thakur (45th), Dushyant Sharma (54th), Geeta Devi (68th), Kanchan Kumari (68th), Mayank Mahajan (68th), Diksha Saini (71st), Aarti (71st), Priti Sharma (74th), Kabita (76th), Suraj Saini (76th), Ekta Thakur (92nd), Pooja Verma (102nd), Anchal Kumari (104th), Manisha Chauhan (106th), Hardik Gupta (110th) and Poonam Devi (111th) scored the above mentioned positions respectively and brought a fame to their parents as well as to school.
In 5th class Examinations also, the students were placed in top positions awarded in Block and Distt. Neha Saini bagged 8th position, Ashish Bhatia and Vikrant Chaudhary were at 14th position and Bhawani Singh was at 15th position in Balh Block in session 2005 - 06. Prikshit Walia was at 5th position, Divya Bharti (9th Position), Nishant Sharma (11th Position), Damini Sharma (11th Position), Ashish Kumar (16th Position), Rajat Kumar Saini (23rd Position) and Ashish Sharma (25th Position) in Balh Block in session 2006 - 07. In session 2007 - 08, Shilpa Guleria bagged 6th Position while Archana Kumari (10th Position), Diksha Thakur (12th Position), Aishwarya Chauhan (15th Position), Aanchal Saini (16th Position), Hari Om (22nd Position) were in the top 25 Positions declared by Balh Education Block.

In Session 2008 - 09, Mohd. Touqeer bagged 1st Position in Balh Block and was also placed at 5th position in Mandi Distt. He was awarded a scholarship of Rs. 1200/- @ Rs. 400/- per year for 3 years by Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Mandi. Whereas Muddit Gupta (7th Position in Block), Mayank Sharma & Sharmishta (11th Position in Block), Paras Dhillon (13th Position in Block) and Chandan (19th Position in Block) also added a glory to the name of school and their parents.
School is also proud of Durgesh Chandan, Abhilash Chandan, Avnika Verma and Kanika Singh Thakur who were awarded scholarship at National Level in session 2004 - 05, 2005 - 06 and 2006 - 07 respectively conducted by National Council of Education and Research, Chandigarh. We are really proud of Kanika Singh Thakur who was placed at 3rd rank at the Distt Level in the Quiz Competition conducted by Matrivandna Organization, Shimla. In the session 2007 - 08 Kanika Singh Thakur and Pinki Saini were placed at 1st position in Himachal Pradesh in Quiz Competition organized by Sanskar Bharti, Himachal Pradesh and were selected to participate at National Level at Faridabad.
It is a matter of proud that Kritika Singh, Kanika Singh, Vijay Kumar Sharma and Karan Singh Guleria have been awarded Silver Medal on the basis of written Scholarship Examination organized by Himotkarsha, Una in the session 2007 - 08. Karan Singh Guleria again made it possible for the silver medal in session 2008 - 09 whereas Ashima Sharma and Pritika Yadav also bagged the silver medal in the written Scholarship Examination organized by Himotkarsha, Una. In 2011 - 12, five students of King George proved to their best in the same scholarship test conducted by Himotkarsha, Una. Shreya Sharma of 9th class bagged 1st Position in Distt. Mandi and Mayank Sharma of 8th class bagged 2nd Position in Distt. Mandi. Whereas Shubham Thakur and Shubham Sharma of 9th and 10th classes respectively won a silver medal and Ashwani Kumar of 10th class won a cash scholarship on the basis of the written Scholarship Examination conducted in November 2011.
In 2011 - 12, 1st Position was bagged by Master Akshay Sharma of 10th class in a Drawing Competition conducted on the topic Biodiversity Conservation by Himotkarsha Organization, Mandi. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- for his performance. In the same competition, Miss Sushmita of 9th class also bagged 3rd Position.
On the basis of the performance of students in their Board Examination of 12th Class held in March 2011, 10 students {named Pankaj Sharma, Priyanka Kumari, Neelam Saini, Umavati, Priyanka Kumari, Piyush Kumar, Chhama Devi, Saurabh Swami, Pooja Chaudhary and Sumit Thakur} of our school qualified for the Scholarship for Higher Education under the INSPIRE scheme launched by Deptt. of Science & Technology, under the Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi. This Scholarship will be awarded for five years to each student @ Rs. 80,000/- per year.
In 2012 - 13, 2nd Position was bagged by Miss Sushmita Verma of 10th Class in a Drawing Competition conducted on the topic Environment Conservation by Himotkarsha Organization, Mandi. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 500/- for her performance. 39 students in 2012 - 13 won the Scholarship of Rs. 10000/- each on the basis of their merits in Board Examinations. This year 14 students of our school were awarded a laptop in the form of Scholarship from H.P.Government. 9 girls {namely Manisha Chaudhary, Kalyani Sharma, Shiwangi Sharma, Kanchan Kumari, Geeta Devi, Aarti, Diksha Saini, Priti Sharma & Kabita} of 12th class of our school were selected for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Scheme. They will be recieving a scholarship of Rs. 15000/- each on continuing their higher education.
2 students namely Kalyani Sharma & Shiwangi Sharma have received a Silver Jublee Merit Scholarship of Rs. 24000/- each by SJVN Limited, Shimla. They will be recieving this amount for next 4 years. In total, they will be receiving a scholarship of Rs. 72000/- for next 4 years. Master Pankaj Sharma was selected in MBBS and Miss Pinki Saini was selected in BVSc. and are presently pursuing their education at Medical College Tanda and University of Palampur respectively. It is a matter of proud to the school, students as well as their parents too. Master Piyush Verma of 8th Class and Mohd. Touqeer of 9th class have been selected for cash scholarship whereas Amol Sharma is selected for Silver Medal and Heemanshu Thakur bagged 3rd position in Distt. Level in a Scholarship test conducted by Himotkarsha Organization, Mandi.
In 2013 - 14 session, 38 students won the Scholarship of Rs. 10000/- each on the basis of their merits in Board Examinations. 18 students of our school have been awarded a Laptop/Netbook in the form of Scholarship from H.P.Government. Also 8 girls of 12th Class {namely Aakanksha Thakur, Jyoti Kumari, Khushboo Gupta, Meena Devi, Anita Devi, Neha Saini, Diksha Thakur, Kavita Verma} of our school were selected for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Scheme. A scholarship of Rs. 15000/- each will be awarded to them on their pursuance of higher studies.


Master Hitesh Atri has been selected in NIT Hamirpur and is presently pursuing his education In Engineering. Master Kashmir Singh has been selected in Merchant Navy. It is a matter of proud for students, parents as well as for school that Amol Sharma of 9th class and Reena Kumari of 10th class were placed at 1st Position in Distt. Mandi in their respective classes in written Scholarship Examination organized by Himotkarsha, Una in the current session 2013 - 14. In the same competition, Miss Simran Chaudhary of 8th class also cleared the examination for the award of cash scholarship, Master Rikshat (8th class), Miss Kavita, Miss Pritika Mahajan and Master Mohd. Touqeer and Master Hemanshu (10th) made their efforts to attain the silver medals in the respective classes.

A Nationwide Space Olympiad was organized by iAntrix, an organization at Bangalore. Thousands of students across all over the country participated in this competition. It is a matter of pride that 57 students of our school cleared for the 2nd level examination. Master Amol Sharma of 9th Class stood First, Second position was bagged by Ekta Sharma of 6th Class whereas Mayank Sharma of 5th Class was at 3rd position among 370 students of our school.
